Spring is Here!

Woodlarks, Chiffchaffs and the first Willow Warbler heard today. Also recently Raven, Woodcock, Skylark and even a Red-Legged Partridge! All the signs that Spring is with us again. The weather the past few days has been glorious and has really brought the birds out, as well as the first “proper” Spring flowers like Wood Anemone, Greater Celandine and Dogs Mercury.

A planning application has been submitted to Wealden District Council for a clay pigeon shoot and corporate hospitality. It would be situated not far from the nature reserve. Shooting would take place between 9am and 6pm every day, 360 days of the year.
